Video: Origins 1-Year Celebration
This past Sunday, Sept 27, marked the 1-year birthday of Origins Church. It was awesome to take a look at what God has done at Origins over the last year. Here are a few highlights…
- We’ve seen 10 people come to faith in Jesus
- 7 adults baptized
- Volunteer Group of the Year at Burnet Middle School (we mentored, tutored, held teacher breakfasts, etc)
- Multiple service projects including clothing homeless people over the winter, holding multiple events for adults with disabilities alongside of the Arc of the Capital Area, and more
Four people sat on stage to answer questions about how they got connected with Origins, how God had used Origins over the last year, what they love most about the community, and what they would like to see happen over the next year. Their testimonies were powerful and we can expect to see God working mightily in and through the people of Origins in the coming year.
It is important in looking back that we make much of God and not ourselves. That we transfer all glory to Him and what He is doing in our lives. It is also important to pray hard. If we simply prayed for another year like last year, we might miss out on all sorts of amazing things. So instead, we pray for new and bigger things that what we’ve already seen. Pray for Him to surprise us!
We put together a video on animoto.com to show some pictures from events that have occurred over the last year. We showed it Sunday morning, but there has been a high demand to see it again, so here it is!
