My Revamped Music Room
So this new house of ours has a really nice layout and one of the things I was most excited about was having an office space that would eventually be my music room. When we first moved in, this room was the dumping grounds for any box or item that we didn’t have a place for yet. Then I finally got it cleared out and got my speakers and drums set in there. Still, though, it was cluttered and unfinished. I finally got around to installing some shelves and cleaning up the room and I couldn’t be happier with the final product. It really is becoming a sort of musical sanctuary where I can go and just chill out, play instruments, have band practice, read/study, etc. I love it!
Here are the shelves, and they’re definitely cluttered with stuff, but it’s all stuff I need regular access to: mics, photography equipment, printer stuff, etc.

Here’s another angle at the room where you see the nice big leather chair for reading/studying and the sweet guitars hanging on the walls.

The first time I played the drums, Jude literally crapped himself and was totally freaked out. He was definitely too young at the time, but now he just loves them. In fact, last night when I was watching him, he was in total melt down mode and none of the usual stuff would calm him down. Knowing he loves the drums, I put him in his crib and left the doors open, then went to jam on the drums…and jammed loud! When I went back in I saw that he had rolled himself onto his stomach and went right to sleep. I love that my boy is soothed to sleep by the sound of drums!!!
Here’s a picture of the sweet baby from a couple of days ago when he hit the 5 month mark.

Pretty sweet set up Jason. And Jude makes it that much better.
