About the “Worship Files”

The primary focus of this site is to introduce new songs to the congregation at Origins where I am the worship leader.  Since I started the site, though, I seem to be getting quite a bit of traffic from other sources, so I certainly hope it serves as both a resource to my church as well as the general public.

There are two main portions of this site.  The first is the chords & lyrics page where you’ll find just that: chords & lyrics to worship songs.  The second main portion features video of “new” songs.  I use the term “new” loosely as many of these will be older songs that are only new to Origins.  If you’re an Origins peep, this is a great way to learn a new song the week before we play it on Sunday morning.  If you’re just a random person, hopefully it will introduce you to a great new worship song and/or show you how to play it.

I would love your feedback, advice, and suggestions.  Don’t hesitate to comment and let me know what you think.

btw, when you’re doing your recording, is that from your home studio? nice rig (and great quality video)!

    • Thanks for the encouraging words!

I have a “music room” at the house which I love, it’s kinda my sanctuary. I don’t have any fancy recording equipment, though, I’m just running from a mixer into the line input of my Mac. For video, I’m using a Panasonic point & shoot camera and I really like the results.

  5. Hey Jason,

Came across your site through YouTube. Cool stuff! Great videos. It’s cool to see someone else doing a similar thing. I’m “the music guy” at my church up in Dayton, Ohio and have been sharing music on my site as well. Nice to “meet” you online. See ya!

  6. Jason,

I stumbled across your site this morning while looking for chords. A God thing for sure!! Thanks so much for sharing all of this with us…The music is soooo helpful and your blog about the homeless was really moving. I used to live in Austin many years ago, I can picture where you were.

Just trying to do ministry with a song and a conviction…

    • Glad you stopped by and it was useful. Funny thing about your signature is that I was just 45 minutes away from you in Estes Park last week. Good times!
